Nashville, Tennessee

Nashville is the capital of Tennessee and is considered the home of country music.
Flat Stanley had a great time on his visit there.

In Centennial Park, Flat Stanley discovered a replica of the
Parthenon in Athens, Greece.
Nashville is called
"Athens of the South"
because of the arts and
universities it supports.

Stanley had lots of fun
looking at the Nashville Parthenon.
He even climbed around
on some of the columns.

After his visit to the park, Stanley went
to the Natchez-Trace Parkway.
Here, Stanley found a bridge that
stretched from one hilltop to another.

He took this picture of the view
 so he could remember
the hills and trees of Tennessee.

Flat Stanley also knew that while he was in Tennessee,
he could visit historical sights from the Civil War.
Among the many sights he visited was this cemetery
for soldiers of the confederate army,
who lost their lives at the Battle of Franklin in 1864.

Stanley says that there is much more
to see in Nashville.

Find out by
taking a visit yourself!
